What WIR stores
WIR stores names, relationship types, start dates, photos, crops, memories, wishes, plans, chapters and settings locally on your device. These are used to calculate shared time and display your memories. There is no user account.
No advertising or tracking
The app has no advertising, analytics SDKs or cross-device tracking. It does not send your content to the publisher’s server. Inspiration ideas are bundled with the app; feedback on them stays local.
Voluntary support through Apple
You can support development with an optional, one-time in-app purchase that you may repeat. All features remain available without a purchase. Apple processes payment through your Apple Account. The app receives product and transaction information to verify and acknowledge the purchase, but no payment details such as your card number. This information is not sent to our own server. Apple’s privacy policy also applies to its processing.
Photos and widgets
Apple’s photo picker gives WIR access only to the images you select. The app stores resized copies. Names, start dates and a resized photo are placed in a local container shared by the app and its widget extension. Widgets may make this information visible on your Home Screen and other widget surfaces supported by iOS.
Optional notifications
Only when you enable reminders and grant permission does WIR schedule local notifications. They may include a person’s name and an anniversary or milestone. Lock Screen visibility is controlled in iPhone settings. No push server is used.
Backups and sharing
An exported WIR backup contains your content and photos without encryption. You choose where to store it or whom to send it to. iCloud Drive, other file providers and Apple’s device backups are also subject to their own settings and privacy terms. Before restoring, WIR saves the previous state as a local safety copy. There is no automatic synchronisation between people or devices.
Deletion and retention
You can delete profiles and their current contents, individual memories and wishes in the app. This does not retroactively change exported backups, shared content, Apple device backups or local safety copies created during migration or restoration. Deleting the app removes its local app data from the iPhone; you manage external copies with the relevant storage provider.
Support and websites
Information you send by email is used to handle your request. Please send only necessary information and avoid unsolicited personal photos or backup files. Opening an external website leaves the app’s purely local environment; that website’s terms apply. The publisher has no remote access to content stored only on your device.
